We have started down the road of building a CNC for our shop. Our build will be based on the PrintNC v4 design.
Ordering the steel:
We went with 2x3 tubing for the main frame and 3x3 tubing for the X gantry. The local supplier's cuts were about as square/accurate as a toddler learning to draw.
Time to clean up the metal. Let's see what a bit of time with a steel wheel will do.
